Nine time
winners of the NSCA's BRED-BY Medallion Trophy.
Presented at Shiba Inu Specialty Shows from Coast to Coast. |
Here is "Shadow" (Sanshou's Shadow of His Smile), with her first 5 point major in
Vallejo, CA, under Judge Gary Anderson, and from tough competition in the BBE classes.
Wish her luck on the road to her championship!

We take great pride in showing
our own dogs in the Bred-By Exhibitor (BBE) class.
True "breeders" are there, usually from conception
to birth and beyond, raising, training, and living
day-to-day with the pups they hope to exhibit in BBE, and these
are the efforts which define us as breeders,
not because someone has signed us on to the registration papers
of their bitch. The BBE class was created as a place
to honor breeders and provide them a showcase in which
to exhibit (themselves) their own breeding stock.
One of our goals is to be taken seriously
as breeders, and to earn
the respect of our peers,
thus we encourage all breeders to honor the intent of the BBE
class. Don't let someone convince you to allow
them to co-own your bitch just so they can be considered a "breeder
of record" and show in the BBE class.
Why should you let anyone else take the credit for your breeding
program? You'll end up looking foolish
and discredit the intent of the BBE class. Pro handlers
(those with questionable integrity)
and some who pose as "breeders", are using this tactic
as a way to exhibit at the AKC Invitational
in the Bred-By Competition, when they have not honestly earned
the right to do so. Breeders are
committed to the betterment of their breed -- and very few make
their living showing/breeding dogs.
We have contacted AKC, asking them to remedy this issue. They
have responded and are attempting to
address this concern. In the meantime, please give the BBE class
and breeders, the respect they deserve.

of NSCA Bred By Medallion
Contained
within this web site are the exploits and adventures of a bunch
of "Happy Singing Shibas".
Sanshou Shibas, dedicated to eradicating the earth of rodent
scum indigenous to their realm,
they will leave no stone unturned, no stuffed toy stuffed. They
will chew the moldings and
wooden furniture, come in the house with dirty feet and jump
on the bed.
These are Shibas, Sanshou's Shibas. Dedicated to enriching
the lives of those humans they own.

Below is a photo of Sadie and Ditto.
Sadie was adopted by a great couple in the Portland area as a
puppy. They decided on a second shiba and came to us looking
for an adult male. After a meet and greet, it was determined
that Ditto would be a good candidate. He has fit right in. We
are blessed to find homes like these for our beloved dogs. Thank
you!! |
Sanshou has its very first
agility dog! We are so proud of "Chip" (a Taylor/Momo
son) and this accomplishment. His owners are exceptionally well
versed in training (success in training their other shiba in
agility) and we would like to share the link to Chip's first
successful jumps and weaves run. He is on his way! |
Below is "Sam" Sanhou's
Unsung Hero. He is out of Topper and Noel, an only puppy, but
he makes up for it with his love of life.
He was named after Sam Jones, Lucy's
brother-in-law, who lost his battle with cancer in April, 2010.
Sam served this country, both in the military and in government
service all his life. He was, and will always be, our "Unsung
Hero" |
