WELCOME
To The Home Of SANSHOU SHIBAS

Seven time winners of the NSCA's BRED-BY Medallion Trophy.
Presented at Shiba Inu Specialty Shows from Coast to Coast.

Sanshou's Inch High Samurai takes Best of Breed two days out of three at the Eugene, OR Shows.
On Sunday, we decided to stay for the "ring experience"
for this eight-month old pupp. He, and the judge, surprised us with a Group 3 placement.
Not bad for a youngster, in a very competetive group, with a good share of handlers in it.

We take great pride in showing our own dogs in the Bred-By Exhibitor (BBE) class.
True "breeders" are there, usually from conception to birth and beyond, raising, training, and living
day-to-day with the pups they hope to exhibit in BBE, and these are the efforts which define us as breeders,
not because someone has signed us on to the registration papers of their bitch. The BBE class was created as a place
to honor breeders and provide them a showcase in which to exhibit (themselves) their own breeding stock.
One of our goals is to be taken seriously
as breeders, and to earn the respect of our peers,
thus we encourage all breeders to honor the intent of the BBE class.  Don't let someone convince you to allow
them to co-own your bitch just so they can be considered a "breeder of record" and show in the BBE class.
Why should you let anyone else take the credit for your breeding program?  You'll end up looking foolish
and discredit the intent of the BBE class.  Pro handlers (those with questionable integrity)
and some who pose as "breeders", are using this tactic as a way to exhibit at the AKC Invitational
in the Bred-By Competition, when they have not honestly earned the right to do so. Breeders are
committed to the betterment of their breed -- and very few make their living showing/breeding dogs.
We have contacted AKC, asking them to remedy this issue. They have responded and are attempting to
address this concern. In the meantime, please give the BBE class and breeders, the respect they deserve.

We're back from the AKC Invitational, where both "Ozzie" and "Barnabas" competed.
Judge Hashimoto Kamisoto awarded
"Ozzie" Best Bred-By Exhibitor and an Award of Excellence!
We are very proud of Oz and his accomplishments in 2007.
A nice way for us to end the year.

Even Ozzie is smiling.....

Jo-Jo is still available, while we've had many inquiries about him, no one has followed up. Jo-Jo is now six months old. He'll make a great pet to the right home.

Learning to play ball, just like his dad, he's getting pretty good at it, but is easily distracted by the other dogs.

Jo-Jo from both sides......

Contained within this web site are the exploits and adventures of a bunch of "Happy Singing Shibas".
Sanshou Shibas, dedicated to eradicating the earth of rodent scum indigenous to their realm,
they will leave no stone unturned, no stuffed toy stuffed.  They will chew the moldings and
wooden furniture, come in the house with dirty feet and jump on the bed.
These are Shibas, Sanshou's Shibas.  Dedicated to enriching the lives of those humans they own.

Hiro, a beautifully marked black and tan, is now 8 months old and going through his teenage stage, but you can see he has beautiful markings and a tail similar to his sire, BeeJay.

 Dad, BeeJay

Who says Shibas don't like Water??? Peyton is shown here on a little water excursion with his owners. They say he thinks he is the captain! Wonderful to see our dogs having such a great time with their owners!
