Shibasnest Harleys On The Road
Charles, Charley or Chuckers!

This is Charlie.
Charles is sort of a reclamation project.  He took a flight to Anchorage and has never been the same.

Chuckers is an escape artist, he can open four different kinds of latches on gates & pens, hence he spends a lot of time indoors or in a covered yard.

Chuck is entirely trustworthy around puppies and is loved by all except the he man shibas males. Chuckers Pie loves to go in the car but gets under the seat when we get to town, he does not trust most people. To be loved & trusted by Chuck makes you a special person, to date there are just 6 people he trusts to any degree.

Here Charles Hangs with Chester who lives in the Portland area, Chester remembers Chuck from his puppy days and Chuck says Kool I can hang with you.

Charlie is 16.5 inchese tall and has a question mark for a tail, when hes plowing through the sage you can see him for 1/2 mile

Here is Chuck nearing his 10th birthday, still opens gates to get out and hunt the meeces and, if he can no open the gate,
he can scale it and still get away to chase the hapless mouse or two.

In early June 2007 Charlie became very ill on a Wednesday and died Sunday evening. This Raffle Basket was
donated for our All-Breed show in late June. In the basket were a few of his favorite things.
The little signs read (left to right)

Snoozing on the couch or being the last one out of bed in the morning.
Stealing over the fence for a good game of mouse hunt.
A long road trip or just going along with Ken on a call to work.
The rustle of the cheese wrapper.

The road trips seem a little longer now without our Chuckers
there is more room on the couch and in our bed
and every time we eat cheese we will have to set aside a piece
in memory of Charles. Miss ya buddy.
