Barnabas came into this world 4/29/2006 In the beginning he
just sort of blended in with the crowd

He's the one on the far right of the picture.  There was another puppy in this litter and she was
definately noticeable from any distance.

But hey, this is Barney's page!

2006 National Specialty Logo

Here I should warn you that while Barnabas is the proper name we have several altered versions to include, Barn, Barney, Barnhole and Barnacle.

Barney's show debut was in Salem, OR at the Willamette Valley KC shows in November 2006.  On Saturday under Marcie Dobkin the Barn got a second in his class.  On Sunday he did the same but he
proved to have the Right Stuff for being a show dog.

In December we trekked 1999 miles to Biloxi. MS for our National Specialty Barney did us proud.  He won the Futurity and finished 2nd in the Bred-By
Class on the day of the National and scored some gas money in the Sweeps competition.  We placed in the Ribbons all four days from the largest class.

If it is the third weekend in January we must be in Portland for the four days of show there with one night being reserved for the AKC/Eukanba TV night Tournament of Champions.  Its mayhem in every way imagineableIf a dog can hold it together there they can just about handle anything.

Again Mr. Barnabas placed everyday and had his first brush with morethan a class ribbon and was awarded Reserve Winners Dog.

So there is TEN shows and no points then . . . . . .

February 10th 2007 - Saturday
From the Bred-By Exhibitor Class. Barney finaly
rips the Skunk a new one and wins his first points,
a 3 Point Major.  Under Judge Harold Brizee.  We have
exhibited our dogs many times to Col Brizee
and win or lose it is always a pleasant experience.

February 11th 2007 - Sunday
Judge Dr. Michael Manning awarded Barney
his second Major Win in as many days this one
was worth 4 points.  A good start for this very nice
Black and Tan boy.

Judge Robert Caviness liked Barney so much as to
bestow a 5 Pt Major WD, BOW and Best Bred-By Exhibitor.
Hey NSCA board see that nice Green Ribbon for Best Bred-By you've been outclassed in both the recognition of Bred-By Exhibitor Class and in the Ribbons department.
This win earned our kennel Bred By Medallion number "7" for Sanshou Shibas, and it's a Black and Tan.
With this win Barney has 14 points, needs
one more point to finish and become our first Black and Tan Bred-By Champion. Win points in order;
